Say National has implemented a NO Head ball rule in Spring 2016 forward for:
Happy Feet - U6 (Instructional)
Passers – U8
Wings – U10
STRIKERS - U12
1.
Head balls
are not to be practiced for players 12 years
old and younger
•This rule is being instituted for the
safety of all players – especially yours!
2. Head balls are not to be made during a Happy Feet, Passers, Wings or Strikers game.
•If a head ball is executed during the
game – it’s a dangerous play foul and the
opponent is awarded an indirect kick subject to rules in place regarding placement
of other indirect kicks.
3. Judgement calls:
•If the ball played the head - no penalty
•If the player played the ball
intentionally with the head it is a foul and a restart indirect kick awarded to the opponent.
4. Education and safety are the focus of
this rule change which includes:
•Players,
Coaches, Parents, Refs and spectators
